3 Days
Begin your safari with an early morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe. The drive to Murchison Falls National Park takes about 5–6 hours, with a lunch stop en route. On arrival, enter the park and visit the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile is forced through a narrow gorge before crashing into the valley below—a dramatic sight and a perfect introduction to the park. Afterward, continue to your lodge for check-in, dinner, and overnight.
Rise early for a morning game drive across the northern section of the park. The open savannah is home to elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeest, and several antelope species. Your guide will help track wildlife and share insights along the way. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat safari along the Nile toward the base of the falls. From the water, watch for hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Return in the evening for dinner and rest.
After breakfast and check-out, begin the drive back to Kampala. Time permitting, you can stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided walk to see white rhinos in a protected setting—a great way to round out your safari with a close look at one of Africa’s most endangered species. Continue to Kampala or Entebbe, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
