3 Days
Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe. The drive to Lake Mburo National Park takes approximately 4–5 hours, with an optional stop at the Equator for photos and a quick refreshment. Arrive at the park in time for lunch, followed by check-in at your lodge. In the late afternoon, head out on a game drive to explore the park’s rolling savannah and acacia woodlands. Keep an eye out for zebras, impalas, buffaloes, elands, and warthogs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Start the day early with a guided nature walk, one of Lake Mburo’s special experiences. Walking through the park allows you to observe wildlife on foot and learn about tracks, plants, and animal behavior from a knowledgeable guide. After breakfast back at the lodge, relax or enjoy the views before lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Mburo. The lake is home to hippos, crocodiles, and a wide range of birds including African fish eagles and kingfishers. Return to the lodge in the evening.
After breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive as you exit the park—an opportunity for last-minute sightings. From there, begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the afternoon. Drop-off will be at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your Lake Mburo safari.
