Itinerary Details

Day 1 | Arrival in Entebbe & Transfer

Your trip begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where a representative will meet you and offer a quick rundown of what’s ahead. From there, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation. Once checked in, the rest of the day is yours to relax and get ready for the days to come.

Day 2 | Travel to Murchison Falls with Rhino Stop

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for the drive to Murchison Falls National Park. As you pass through the Luwero Triangle, you’ll get a sense of Uganda’s countryside, with small towns, farmland, and open landscapes along the way. En route, you’ll stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided walk to track rhinos on foot—a rare chance to see these animals up close. Lunch is taken along the way before continuing to the park.

Day 3 | Wildlife Drive & River Safari in Murchison

This morning starts with a game drive through the park’s open plains and woodlands. Keep your camera ready for possible sightings of elephants, giraffes, lions, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, take a boat ride along the Nile toward the base of Murchison Falls. The shoreline is often lined with hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species, all visible from the water.

Day 4 | Drive to Kibale Forest & Bigodi Wetlands Walk

After breakfast, you’ll leave for Kibale Forest, known for its population of primates and birdlife. The road takes you past tea estates and small villages before arriving near the forest. In the afternoon, take a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The area is rich in plant life and home to monkeys, birds, and butterflies. Your guide will point out highlights along the trail.

Day 5 | Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale

Today you’ll join park rangers and guides for a chimpanzee tracking session in Kibale Forest. These energetic primates can be heard before they’re seen, and once you find them, you’ll observe their behavior in the forest canopy and on the ground. Permits are required in advance due to limited access, so booking ahead is essential.

Day 6 | Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Leave Kibale after breakfast and head toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive offers more scenic views, and you may spot wildlife along the way. On arrival, check in and head out for an afternoon game drive across the park’s grasslands and wooded areas.

Day 7 | Game Viewing & Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

Start the morning with a drive in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife common in Queen Elizabeth. Later, take a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, a waterway linking two lakes. It’s a great place to watch animals gathering near the water and see birds up close.

Day 8 | Final Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi

Enjoy a last game drive in Queen Elizabeth before making your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This region is home to dense forests, misty hills, and one of the world’s most important mountain gorilla populations.

Day 9 | Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early start and a short briefing, you’ll join a guided trek through the forest in search of mountain gorillas. The walk can be challenging depending on the terrain, but spending time with a gorilla group in the wild is a powerful and memorable experience. You’ll have about an hour to observe them once found.

Day 10 | Return to Kigali & Departure

After breakfast, you’ll cross into Rwanda and continue to Kigali. A guided city tour will include stops at the craft market and the Genocide Memorial before your transfer to the airport. Your East African journey ends here, with plenty to look back on.
